After training at the Aveda Institute, 3 years ago, Mark honed his skills at a neighboring salon in Uptown for 2 years. During this time, he stayed current with the freshest and most innovative trends in the Twin Cities area. Mark crafted these skills through various local fashion shows and photo shoots. While being exposed to these opportunities, he saw it as a privilege in itself just to work in the industry. If anyone asks Mark why he chose to do this as a profession, he tells them "I just love doing what I do. To be able to meet various, incredible people in my own community, and make them love their hair is very rewarding."

Mel began her career at Evolution after graduating from the Aveda Institute in 2006. After an intensive internship with Evolution's founder, she has developed into one of the most dynamic and versatile stylists in the Minneapolis area. Mel's style is unique and can best be described as having a technical ability that's charged with creativity. She has an eye for detail and this is evident in the way she brings out her client's individuality and style. Her strengths are in the ability to remove the right amount of hair to create balance, movement, and texture. Mel's training in cut and color as well as the Kertain straightening process and the Brazilian Blowout, allow her clients to receive a first class hair care experience.

Sarah has been interested in hair and fashion her entire life. She learned the foundation of Cosmetology at the Aveda Institute, graduating in 2006. After completeing her training, Sarah immediately began working at a salon in Saint Paul. There, she acquired many essential skills to be successful in the salon industry.  She has taken several trend, fashion, color and cutting classes and has worked her way to building a strong clientele. 

Sarah met the Evolution team in 2008 and knew this is where she belonged. She continues to keep herself updated on the latest styles and trends. "I am dedicated and passionate about my work, and I am consistent in giving you the greatest hairstyle that works for you, your hair, and your lifestyle. Everyday should be a great hair day."

Ashley linked with the Evolution team in December of 2010, after completing an education at Aveda Institute and specialized training in color at a local salon for 4 years.  Since then, she has had the opportunity to be mentored by the co-owners while expanding her skill set.  She has a deep passion for the industry and all the inspiration it provides.

With 11 years of experience Heidi Schroeder is one of the premier Hair Designers in the industry. Traveling, leading salon education classes and hair shows, Heidi educates other stylists on the latest trends and techniques.

Heidi also offers Great Lengths Extensions! After traveling to Miami in 2006 to get her certification, she returned to offer the highly sought after "celebrity look" to Twin Cities women.

Immersed in the industry at a young age with two stylist parents, Matt honed his skills at the Aveda institute in 1997. Opening Evolution in 2002 with Mike Dahl, he launched his career to a whole new level. He has been sighted as a "Beauty Genius" by Elle Magazine, also seen in American Salon, Modern Salon and Canadian Hair Dresser; all sources reputable trade publications. When Matt is not behind the chair at Evolution he is traveling through out the United States, Europe, and South America styling for large symposiums, photo shoots, and runway shows. "I specialize in fashion cuts, fashion colors, and providing the best possible cuts and colors for you and your lifestyle."

As a stylist and co-owner of Evolution, Mike has been tailoring every client's look to their unique personality and lifestyle for almost a decade. In addition to his work at the salon, Mike has worked for Goldwell and currently L'anza educating stylists nationally and internationally.

Ashley joined the Evolution team in the Spring of 2011. She is passionate about people and welcomes everyone into the salon with a smile. “I really love the energy and overall feel of the salon.
